The Vilangara Sree Subramanya Swami Temple complex houses several upadevas (subsidiary deities) that complement the worship of Lord Muruga. Each upadeva has its own significance and special rituals, creating a complete spiritual ecosystem within the temple premises.

Lord Muruga, also known as Subramanya, Kartikeya, or Skanda, is the primary deity of the temple. He is worshipped here as the divine son of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the god of war, and the embodiment of wisdom and virtue.
